His Excellency Mr. Ali bin Sheikh Abdul Hussein Al-Asfour, Governor of the Northern Governorate, chaired the weekly consultative meeting of officials in the governorate.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Northern Governor praised the contents of the paternal meeting of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the great king of the country, may God protect and preserve him, and His Majesty’s keenness on this annual meeting to communicate with his children, check on their conditions, and secure a decent life for them, expressing his thanks and appreciation to all The participants from the people of the Northern Governorate in the meeting for the poetry they presented and a souvenir that contributed to highlighting the unity of the topic as an expression of joy for the silver jubilee of His Majesty assuming the reins of government in Bahrain.
During the meeting, the preparation of a time plan for the activities and programs proposed to celebrate the silver jubilee was discussed. The meeting’s agenda also included a number of topics, most notably, discussing the application of governance in the governorate, examining the needs of the people of Maqaba, and following up on the Ministry of Transportation’s issues in preparing bus stops for the needs of the disabled and people of determination in a way that achieves Objectives of the Healthy Cities Program, in addition to following up on the issue of maintenance and delivery of housing units in the “Houses Project” implemented by the governorate for needy families.
