This morning, Lieutenant General His Excellency Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of the Interior, inspected the security preparations and arrangements made by the Ministry of the Interior, in cooperation with the relevant authorities, for the success of the Bahrain Grand Prix Formula 1 Championship, which reflects the distinguished position of the Kingdom of Bahrain, as it is the home of motor sports in the Middle East. It has a proud history on the world motorsport map.
His Excellency stressed, during his visit to the Bahrain International Circuit, where he was received by His Excellency Lieutenant General Tariq bin Hassan Al-Hassan, Head of Public Security, that the Ministry of Interior’s contribution to recording a new national success story during this exceptional edition of the global sporting event, on its twentieth anniversary, comes from a message The openness, coexistence and peace that the Kingdom of Bahrain carries, as the first country in the Middle East to embrace this sport and in light of its ability, readiness and good reputation in the field of organizing world championships.
He pointed out that the Ministry of Interior worked to provide all capabilities to create a safe atmosphere for the success of this global race, according to the highest levels of efficiency and security readiness within the framework of providing distinguished security services at the highest level of efficiency and professionalism.
During the inspection tour, His Excellency the Minister of the Interior was briefed on the procedures and plans put in place to secure this global race, its fans and all its participants, and to achieve the required flow of traffic inside and around the circuit and the streets and roads leading to it. These procedures were studied and trained on carefully through a number of hypotheses. The security measures carried out by the participating security services, pointing out the accumulated experience that the security services have to make this global sporting event a success.
