The Sharjah Book Authority announced that the 15th session of the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival will be held from May 1 to 12 at the Expo Center Sharjah, where the festival presents the latest publications for children and young people, and a wide range of events, activities, competitions, plays, and artistic and performance performances on… Over 12 days.
The program of the festival this year includes a series of interactive workshops presented by a group of experts and specialists in discovering children’s talents, developing their abilities, refining their skills, and expanding their intellectual and cognitive awareness, in addition to hosting an elite group of writers, illustrators, and publishers specializing in children’s and young people’s books, who are participating in an artistic and cultural program. A comprehensive program that includes discussion and reading sessions and book signing parties.
The festival honors the winners of the “Sharjah Children’s Book Illustration Award,” in addition to the winners of the “Sharjah Children’s Book Award,” the “Sharjah Audio Book Award,” and the “Sharjah Children’s Book Award for People with Visual Needs,” which celebrates children’s literature and all its artistic aspects. And creativity, and honors its creators, including innovative painters, authors and publishers.

For her part, Khawla Al-Mujaini, General Coordinator of the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival, indicated that the current year’s session of the festival will include a rich cultural, entertainment and artistic program distributed over several axes in building the knowledge of new generations, developing their skills and discovering their talents, whether academic, motor sports, or creative art.
