His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Director General of the General Administration for the Implementation of Alternative Judgments and Punishments, and Mrs. Anisa Saad Al-Huwaihi, Director of Public Relations and Marketing and Member of the Board of Directors at Silwan Psychiatric Hospital, signed a memorandum of understanding to provide rehabilitation programs and specialized training courses in the psychological and social aspects for members of the administration and beneficiaries of alternative punishments. This is within the framework of strengthening partnership with the private sector and institutions active in the field of rehabilitation and reintegration into society.
On this occasion, the Director General of the General Administration for the Implementation of Alternative Sentences and Punishments confirmed that alternative sanctions are considered an advanced step within the framework of implementing the values and principles of the comprehensive development process of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the great king of the country, may God protect and preserve him, noting the keenness of the esteemed government headed by His Highness Royal Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, in improving the criminal justice system and working to qualify and develop those who benefit from the implementation of the law, praising the follow-up of His Excellency General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, and his keenness to apply the best international standards in the field Alternative punishments and open prisons.
