His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, was elevated to the high office of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the great King of the country, may God protect and preserve him, and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Chairman of the Council of Ministers. The Ministers, may God protect him, extend our highest congratulations and sincere blessings on the occasion of the celebration of the silver jubilee of the twenty-five-year anniversary of His Majesty assuming the reins of power. His Excellency took advantage of this precious national and historical occasion to renew the pledge and loyalty to His Majesty, may God support him.
His Excellency stressed that this occasion is considered a defining moment and a most important day in the modern and contemporary history of the Kingdom of Bahrain, as it embodies twenty-five years of harmony in glory and tangible progress behind the banner of the leader of our comprehensive development process and our blessed civilizational renaissance, the Great King, may God protect and preserve him.
His Excellency recalled with all reverence, greatness and pride when Bahrain called out from one end to the other, and its people called for His Majesty as a legitimate heir to the rule and a ruler to succeed the father of all who was forgiven, God Almighty willing, by His Majesty Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the late Emir of the country, may God have mercy on him and place him in his spacious paradise. The big heart and the many qualities that are not hidden, which we see embodied in the traits of forbearance, kindness and tolerance in the person of “Praise be to goodness and humanity”, so that His Majesty believes in the saying that “the best successor to the best predecessor” is true.
His Excellency said: “Over twenty-five years of good governance, the Kingdom of Bahrain, thanks to the wise leadership of His Majesty, has taken broad and advanced steps towards reform, modernization and development in accordance with sound modern visions and intelligent, enlightened insight through which the country was able to complete the frameworks of its political, economic, social and legislative construction on firm and solid foundations as a state.” A civilized, civil democracy, while at the same time preserving its ancient Arab heritage and the authenticity of its values stemming from our true Islamic religion.”
His Excellency pointed out that the past years were the best witness and the best proof of the soundness of intentions, the sincerity of determination and the confirmed desire to continue meeting the common ambitions and aspirations in which His Majesty, may God support him, meet with his honorable people as a true translation of what the national will agreed upon through its witnessed consensus on the draft National Action Charter, which It will remain immortal in the conscience and memory of the nation, and it will remain an honorable epic in the Kingdom’s record whose pages are filled with the usual sincerity and loyalty in various situations and circumstances, presenting the most beautiful image of rallying around the leadership that took the hand of the people to lay the building blocks of an open society in which justice prevails and is regulated by law with a constitutional reference that protects rights and defines duties.
His Excellency added, saying: “With His Majesty the Great King assuming the reins of government in the country in 1999, the features of the new Bahrain began to crystallize and take shape gradually, based on well-studied mechanisms and an unprecedented work methodology at the regional level, which makes the Kingdom always… The focus of attention of all who look at it with the eyes of astonished admirer, until it has reached what it is today of pioneering cultural and developmental achievements of security and stability, and a better living reality for citizens, enhanced by health, educational and housing services, the provision of which is one of the first priorities of the government headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad. Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him. This is in addition to the free and open economy supported by a developed business environment, in which the private sector is responsible for accelerating the wheel of its development, in addition to the prestigious position that the Kingdom occupies on the international arena due to His Majesty’s belief in dialogue and coexistence as a principle for global peace and stability.”
His Excellency also pointed out that Bahrain, since His Majesty, may God support him, assumed the reins of Al-Hakim, has not diminished its successes, as its development plans directed at the citizen, who is the focus of development and its primary goal, are linked to the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, the fruits of which we are about to reap within a few years, while looking forward in the coming months to His Majesty’s blessing. May God support him in what the “Bahrain of the Future” will be like in the next twenty-five years, according to the basic principles and ambitious horizons that Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2050 will present.
His Excellency concluded his statement by saying that the days have proven, in both their hardship and their prosperity, that His Majesty, may God support him, is the faithful protector of the religion and the homeland, and the symbol of our national unity around which hearts gather before hands and palms, praying to their Lord to preserve His Majesty, and to grant him good health, wellness, and a long life. To continue the march of goodness and development witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain under his wise leadership.
