On Friday, the Supreme Court in Saudi Arabia called on all Muslims throughout the Kingdom to investigate the vision of the month of Ramadan on Sunday evening, corresponding to March 10.
The Supreme Court said in a statement published by the Saudi News Agency (SPA): “In view of what was included in Supreme Court Decision No. (179/AH) dated 1/8/1445 AH, that Sunday is 1/8/1445 AH – according to the Umm Al-Qura calendar – corresponding to 11 / 2/ 2024 AD, which is the beginning of the month of Shaban of the year 1445 AH. The Supreme Court wishes all Muslims throughout the Kingdom to investigate the sighting of the crescent of the blessed month of Ramadan on the evening of Sunday 8/29/1445 AH corresponding to 3/10/2024 AD.
The statement added: “The Supreme Court requests that anyone who sees it with the naked eye or through binoculars inform the nearest court to him and register his testimony there, or contact the nearest center to help him reach the nearest court,” according to SPA.
The court went on to say: “The Supreme Court hopes that those who have the ability to see will pay attention to this matter, join the committees formed in the regions for this purpose, and calculate the reward and reward for participating because of the cooperation in righteousness and piety and the benefit to all Muslims.”
