Hassan Al-Sadali, a rally racer, said that the Kingdom of Bahrain was and still is an ancient homeland for motorsport, recalling the races that were held at the local level and in which, despite the limited capabilities at the time, young people played a role in confirming their existence and continuity.

Al-Sassali expressed his pride and pride in the generous support that motor sports in the Kingdom received from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the country, may God protect and preserve him, noting the exceptional efforts and diligent follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Chairman of the Council of Ministers. Al-Satisali explained in a statement to Bahrain News Agency (BNA) that there are many Bahraini youth whose names have emerged in car racing, especially rallies, autocross and drag races – speed – including Sheikh Jaber bin Ali Al Khalifa, Ibrahim Al Busmait, Abdul Rahman Ghuloum, and drag racer Ali Arian, And others who I accompanied during the organization of rallies in Bahrain, such as one of the Middle East rounds or national rallies, noting that he also contributed to building rally cars for local and Gulf racers, especially since this sport requires special specifications for the safety of the driver and his assistant.

Al-Sassati stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain, with the launch of the 2004 Bahrain Circuit and the Bahrain Grand Prix of Formula 1, had inaugurated a new phase for motor sports that had taken the entire region to the global level, and Bahrain had become one of the most important locations on the international map for organizing sports related to cars and motor racing.

He added that the series of achievements achieved by the Kingdom of Bahrain in motorsport qualified the Kingdom to be the home of this sport in the Middle East, praising the ability and professionalism of the Bahrain team in organizing this sport, which made it the focus of world attention.

Al-Sassali stressed that the Bahrain International Circuit is one of the leading circuits in the world due to its engineering capabilities and accompanying facilities since the first Formula 1 race was held in 2004 on the circuit, as the circuit was built to suit the racing atmosphere and as a unique tourist and entertainment destination suitable for all ages, noting that The circuit’s tracks have an advantage that the most famous tracks in the world do not have, such as the ease of overtaking, as any racer can overtake any other racer comfortably, which raises the level of competition and excitement during the race.

He pointed out that the desert track is considered the first track to host Formula 1 races in the Middle East on an annual basis, in addition to other international races such as the Australian V8 races, international speed races, and the continuous twenty-four hour race, in addition to other local and regional races and championships.
