The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Football Association, Sheikh Ali bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, confirmed that the Federation approved the financial reward for the champion of His Majesty the King’s Cup competition (the most expensive cup) for the current season to be 100 thousand Bahraini dinars, while the runner-up team will receive 50 thousand Bahraini dinars. This is for the second consecutive season in the history of the most expensive cups.
Sheikh Ali bin Khalifa bin Ahmed confirmed that the final of His Majesty the King’s Cup is an event that we await in the sports community in general and football in particular. Because of its precious value in the hearts of all athletes, he pointed out that the approval of 150,000 Bahraini dinars as a total of financial prizes for the champion and runner-up of His Majesty the King’s Cup, for the second season in a row, indicates the great importance of the tournament.
He stated that the Bahraini Football Association will harness all its energies to present a successful edition as in previous years, especially as we reach the final scene, where the final match is, and which the Federation will give special support to ensure its success at all levels, pointing out that the leading position of the tournament places a great responsibility on the Federation. Providing qualitative advances at all levels, including rewards allocated to the “most expensive cups” champions.
The President of the Bahrain Football Association expressed his wishes for the two clubs that qualified for the final match (Muharraq and Al-Ahly) to present a match at a high competitive level, in the match scheduled for Saturday at the Bahrain National Stadium.
