Dr. Ali Amin Al-Rayes, Director of the Religious Affairs Department at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, stated that the number of Bahraini trips to Mecca to perform Umrah rituals and visit the Prophet’s Mosque during the year 2023 reached 1,416 trips, after being authorized by the Ministry.

Al-Rayes appreciated the level of fruitful integration between all relevant parties in managing Umrah trips, which contributes to facilitating its procedures throughout the year.

He stressed the Ministry’s interest and aspiration to further develop procedures and enhance coordination with all competent authorities, in order to achieve the best means of support and support for Umrah pilgrims and facilitate their travel and return to the homeland.

Al-Rayes extended his thanks and appreciation in particular to the King Fahd Causeway Authority and the Bahrain Airport Company for the distinguished services they provide, whose procedures are characterized by ease and smoothness, in order to ensure the smooth flow of pilgrims’ trips.

He praised the efforts of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, and all competent authorities in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in serving pilgrims, Umrah performers and visitors.
