French star Kylian Mbappe chose to move to Real Madrid at the end of next season after informing the management of his current club, Paris Saint-Germain, of his departure. However, he is asking the Spanish club to raise its financial offer before officially obtaining his signature, according to what Le Parisien newspaper reported on Thursday.
Various media outlets revealed, on Thursday evening, that the French star informed his club’s management that he would not stay after the end of the current season, and the daily issued from Paris that same day said: Mbappe met with President Nasser Al-Khelaifi, coach Luis Enrique, and sporting director Luis Campos, and informed them that he would not renew his contract. He asked his club management not to submit any new offer, as the decision to leave was final and irreversible.
Le Parisien followed: Mbappe followed the call of his heart by choosing Real Madrid, but he and his entourage feel a little hesitant because they are looking for a better offer compared to what was offered to him in the summer of 2022 before he decided to stay with Paris in a surprising scenario.
Real Madrid’s previous offer included the 2018 World Cup winner receiving 130 million euros upon signing for the White Club, in addition to an annual salary of 26 million euros, but recent talks revealed that Florentino Perez’s management does not want to reach those numbers.
