His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate and Chairman of the Security Committee, chaired the third Security Committee meeting for the year 2024, in the presence of His Excellency Brigadier General Hamad Mohammed Al Khayyat, Deputy Governor, and a number of officers from representatives of the security departments of the Ministry of Interior.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Highness the Governor of the Southern Governorate, Chairman of the Security Committee, welcomed the attendees, stressing the role of community and security partnership in consolidating the foundations of security through various frameworks of cooperation and joint coordination, in implementation of the directives of His Excellency General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, to provide security, safety and reassurance. In various parts of the governorate.
His Highness the Governor, Chairman of the Security Committee, also reviewed some statistics and the results of the organizational and security efforts that contributed to the success of this year’s wilderness season, praising the level of security cooperation of the various departments concerned in the Ministry of Interior, through the decrease in the rate of reports and the presence of security patrols, in addition to the role of campaigns. On another level, His Highness the Governor reviewed a joint presentation by the Southern Governorate Police Directorate and the General Traffic Department on security preparations coinciding with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, where His Highness recommended coordination and cooperation to highlight the role of the community service police and traffic patrols to take all preparations and advance security measures on the main roads. Mosques, markets, and public facilities in all areas of the governorate, in addition to the security and traffic equipment used for Eid prayer halls located within the governorate.
Then, His Highness the Governor reviewed the Security Committee’s report regarding the security needs of the people in Isa Town, noting the necessity of security preparedness and quick response in receiving incoming reports and joint efforts, cooperation and coordination with various security agencies to serve citizens and residents in all areas of the Southern Governorate.
