As Israeli military operations continue in the Gaza Strip, which has been besieged for months, the northern front is witnessing more developments.
5 were injured, one of them in critical condition
On Wednesday, the Israeli ambulance announced that 6 people were injured, one of them in critical condition, as a result of a strike that hit a building in Arab Al-Aramsha in northern Israel, according to official television.
The television did not provide further details, but local media confirmed that 5 missiles had penetrated the airspace in Western Galilee, confirming that one of them had landed in Arab Al-Aramsha.
This came after the Lebanese Hezbollah announced earlier today that it had carried out 5 operations targeting military sites in northern Israel, including the air control unit at the Meron base, with guided missiles, announcing that its equipment had been hit and destroyed.
These developments came a few hours after the announcement of the killing of 3 Lebanese Hezbollah members, including a leader, in Israeli raids in southern Lebanon, yesterday, Tuesday.
The Israeli army confirmed the killing of a Hezbollah field commander in a strike carried out in southern Lebanon. An army statement said that an army plane “bombed and eliminated Ismail Youssef Baz, a leader in the coastal sector of Hezbollah” in the Ain Baal region in Lebanon, adding that the aforementioned leader “participated in planning to launch shells and anti-tank missiles towards Israel from the coastal area in Lebanon”.
Daily tensions
It is noteworthy that since the outbreak of the war in the Gaza Strip between Israel and Hamas on the seventh of last October, the Lebanese-Israeli border has witnessed exchange of bombing on an almost daily basis between Hezbollah and the Israeli army, which led to the killing of at least 363 people, including 240 Hezbollah members and 70 civilians. On the other hand, 10 soldiers and 8 civilians were killed on the Israeli side by fire originating in southern Lebanon.
For weeks, Israel has also launched deeper air strikes inside Lebanese territory, targeting Hezbollah sites, which has recently increased local and international fears of the outbreak of open war.
