The Chairman of the Board of Directors of INJAZ Bahrain, Her Highness Sheikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, confirmed that in 2024, INJAZ Bahrain will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its founding with the participation of the Ministry of Education, as the project expanded with the participation of all schools and many universities, bringing the number of participants to exceed 900 students. 20 companies were established from universities, and 40 companies from the school category, adding that the winner of this award will represent the Kingdom of Bahrain in the “Injaz Al Arab” regional competition at the end of the year.
Her Highness Sheikha Hessa bint Khalifa praised the great role of youth in cognitive development and their diligence in innovation and creativity, which achieves the goal of the competition by encouraging the youth group to be entrepreneurs and acquire experience and knowledge through this experience, which creates in them responsibility and knowledge of the labor market and financial management.
For his part, the President of the University of Bahrain, Fouad Al-Ansari, said in a statement to Al-Bilad regarding the University of Bahrain’s participation in the exhibition accompanying the event, that there are 3 projects dealing with various topics, including programming and engineering, and the other related to children’s emotional intelligence, which was developed in the form of a game that facilitates the development of… Their emotional intelligence, stimulating the different emotions they have, and finally the artistic project that was presented in an excellent way, as all projects are capable of being developed into commercial projects.

The students who qualified in the final round of the competition presented their projects and innovations in the projects they completed, and one of the participants in the annual competition for young entrepreneurs, student Mr. Hassan, said that our team’s project is a “smart agricultural robot” that carries out the entire agricultural process, starting with plowing the soil, placing seeds, and then watering. The soil and the product are considered environmentally friendly as it runs on solar energy and saves water through irrigation.”
Student Jumana Al-Taweel, whose team has completed an electronic website through which a person can reserve “kashtat” for large occasions such as weddings, added that the team aspires for the project to be an application in the future, as well as contestant Maryam Al-Thawadi in the Tejouri project, which aims to solve the problem of theft by merging With Bahraini heritage.
This year, the competition also included six distinguished awards in recognition of exceptional achievements: “Best Corner and Brand Award” from Al Salam Bank, “Innovation Award” from Yousef Khalil Almoayyed & Sons Company, and “Excellence in Technology Award” from Amazon Web Services (AWS). “The Excellence Award in Environmental and Social Governance” from Bapco Energies, the “Best Financial Performance Award” from the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait, and the “Rising CEO Award” from Bahrain National Insurance (BNI).
Many major companies and institutions in Bahrain contributed to sponsoring the competition, including “Boeing” and “Tamkeen” as the platinum category sponsors, Aluminum Bahrain (Alba) and Batelco as the gold category sponsors.
The judging panel included: Ahmed Al-Sharaf from Tamkeen, Ahmed Bahar from Alba, Khaled Abdullah from Bapco Energies, and Amal Al-Rayes from Kuwait Finance House – Bahrain for the secondary school category; Ahmed Abdul-Ghani from the Economic Development Board, Jassim Darwish from the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC), Sheikh Khalifa Al Khalifa from the Pune Company, and Maha Jumaa from HSBC for the university category.

. “JOC” from Al-Hikma International School won the “Best Company in the High School Category for the Year 2024” award, and “JOC” from the British University of Bahrain won the “Best Company in the Universities Category” award.

. “Tanaka” from Jabriya Industrial Secondary School won the “Best Social Impact Award from the Secondary Schools Category 2024,” and “Qashiko” from “Bahrain Polytechnic” won the “Best Social Impact Award from the Universities Category 2024.”
. “Jocom” from the British University of Bahrain won the “Best Corner and Brand” award, sponsored by Al Salam Bank.
