A delegation of Hungarian businessmen, headed by Tamás Hovanyi, is looking forward to establishing partnerships in various sectors with Bahraini companies, as they proposed projects to manufacture products in Bahrain, and enhance trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.

Al-Bilad met with members of the Hungarian delegation, which included Sandor Holbok and Venevesi Tamás, where they reviewed a number of areas and proposals to enhance investments between the two countries, which include the areas of medical equipment and services, waste management, construction, and innovative developments.

Members of the delegation stressed that the vision is to manufacture products within Bahrain, as the goal is to create new ways of cooperation, thus stimulating economic progress.

The members of the delegation explained that many Hungarian companies had previously done business with the Kingdom of Bahrain, where they participated in economic events, friendship groups and work teams, and based on their positive experiences, these companies are returning with renewed enthusiasm and new projects, aiming to strengthen cooperation.

The head of the delegation expressed his confidence in the ability of Hungarian companies to contribute significantly to the development of the Bahraini economy, stressing the importance of strengthening partnerships that benefit from the strengths and experience of both countries, which ultimately leads to driving innovation and sustainable growth.

The trade delegation is based on promising opportunities for both countries to enhance cooperation and drive economic progress through joint projects and innovation.

He added, “The focus is on consolidating relations between Bahrain and Hungary by strengthening trade relations and bringing in Hungarian investors who have many huge projects through which they would like to invest in Bahrain, and integrating their businesses into the Bahraini economy.”

He pointed out that the delegation visited many Bahraini investors who enjoy a strong relationship with the Hungarian side, pointing out that one of the goals is to manufacture products in the Kingdom of Bahrain so that they can spread throughout the world.

He said, “We displayed the innovative wind turbine system with vertical sails, which was developed in Hungary, and represents a revolutionary step in the field of renewable energy sources, as it provides a unique system of movement and contributes to generating energy even under minimal wind currents. The system also It works quietly, does not generate vibration, and is efficient and saves space.”

Hovany explained that the system is easy to install and maintain, and is resistant to dust and sand, making it the ideal solution for desert areas, adding that the wind turbines operate during the night and in minimal wind conditions, ensuring continuous power supply.

Hovany noted the importance of wind energy, and what the wind turbine system offers as a new and effective solution to the challenges of sustainable energy production, saying, “We plan to introduce and manufacture this system in Bahrain, and to adopt wind energy and other renewable energy, which will enhance Bahrain’s development in the field of renewable energy and environmental protection.”

Building bridges

For his part, businessman Sandro Holbok confirmed that this is his first visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain and expressed his aspiration to expand his commercial activities outside Hungary, and presented many huge projects that can be established in Bahrain, the most prominent of which are companies specialized in building bridges and railways, and the desire to contribute to economic diversification in Bahrain, infrastructure development, construction work, consulting, administrative, and security companies, adding, “We heard that there are ambitious economic plans for the coming years, including building bridges, and this is an opportunity for us to create a partnership.”

Holbok pointed out that after the Corona pandemic and the Ukraine war, trade with Europe and its neighboring countries was affected, due to the dependence of trade on Germany. There is also another problem represented by the rise in energy prices, and this problem in fact suffers from all of Europe and has affected the European economy.

Sports field

Regarding the sports field, Holbok proposed sports projects related to organizing tournaments, as this is considered the type of work in which Hungarians have experience, such as the two tournaments that were organized recently in Hungary for the European Championship.

Among the innovative business ideas presented by Tamas is a tire recycling project, developing medical equipment for kidney transplantation, as well as providing advanced security equipment and supplies that provide safety and protection for security personnel.

Regarding tire recycling, he said that the recycling problem is one of the common problems that they are trying to solve by providing effective methods, using “cryogenic technology” to protect the environment, and providing new, advanced equipment.

The medical field

In the medical field, the businessman added that many medical tools can be provided that Bahrain can be a starting point for exporting to neighboring countries, which includes the kidney transplant device that his father invented due to the illness of his sister, who was suffering from kidney disease. The device is characterized by shortening the duration of blood transfusion, which was It takes 24 hours to 12 hours. There are also many new medical inventions that they have introduced to the Bahraini market, such as the sterile medical ointment for the hands, which remains effective for 6 hours, the manufacture of sterile single-use equipment for hospitals, and they have also manufactured special sterile paint for hospitals and schools.

Hovani confirmed his aspirations to work in Bahrain, and to work on providing educational medical staff to train medical students.
