The happy Eid al-Fitr has a special pleasure, especially since it comes after the month of fasting and the multiplication of good deeds. The blessed month of Ramadan, when young and old rejoice, everyone wears new clothes, and receives family and loved ones with a smiling and happy face. The meeting time, as is known to most families, is in the afternoon, and therefore some mothers are keen to prepare. “Eid lunch” themselves, while others prefer to buy it from one of the famous specialized restaurants.

Al-Bilad monitored a number of restaurants publishing a special “menu” for “Eid lunch” meal prices on “Instagram.” The price of a meat gozi carcass in one of the famous restaurants in the Manama and Muharraq region reached 190 dinars, and half of the carcass reached 99 dinars, while the price of a full carcass for Eid lunch reached 190 dinars. In one of the banquet restaurants in the Jidali area, 120 dinars, and half of the slaughtered animal is 65 dinars, and a quarter of the slaughtered animal is 35 dinars.

A number of banquet restaurant owners explained during their interview with Al-Bilad that the Eid and Gouzi feast topped the list of orders, and the demand for machboos and fish declined during the days of Eid al-Fitr.

Chef Yasser Al-Yousef, the owner of a banquet restaurant in Hamad Town, confirmed that the turnout for Eid lunch orders on the first day exceeds 200%, on the second day it is 150%, and on the third day it is 100%, pointing out that the Eid lunch reservations window is almost over.

He explained that the Eid feast dominates the list of requests, as the slaughtered animals are brought from farms and are presented to customers upon request, whether with Gozi, Mutafah or Mandi rice, pointing out that 30 dinars is the value of a quarter of a slaughtered animal for a Somali Tarbiyah Bahrain, 45 dinars for a Nuaimi, and 3.5 dinars for a chicken.

Al-Yousef stated that a complete carcass of Somali Mutfah, raised in Bahrain, is worth 110 dinars, including the cook and delivery, while half the carcass is worth 60 dinars, and a quarter of a carcass of Arabian Mutfah Al-Naimi is worth 45 dinars.

He confirmed the increased demand for requests from Al-Ghuri during the Eid period and the decline in demand for those in prison.

As for the meat guzi, it was stated that 7 dinars is the value of a tray of meat guzi for two people, 10 dinars for a tray sufficient for 3 to 4 people, and 25 dinars for a family-sized tray sufficient for 7 to 8 people.

Regarding the chicken gozi, he stated that the value of one chicken is sufficient for 4 people, with a value of 3,500 dinars, while the value of 1,800 dinars. Half a chicken is enough for two people.

He pointed out that the delivery service is available to all regions of Bahrain and that the time for receiving orders by customers is between 12 and 1 p.m.

In addition, the owner of a banquet restaurant in Souq Waqif in Hamad Town, Mamdouh Al-Thawadi, stated that the policy followed by him since he first opened the restaurant 18 years ago was not to take many orders that exceed the operational capacity of the restaurant workers to ensure the quality of cooking and the smooth flow of work in delivering orders, whether receiving or receiving. From the restaurant or delivery service, he pointed out that he receives orders for a maximum of 10 slaughtered animals, especially on the first day of Eid.

Regarding the turnout for Eid reservations each year, Al-Thawadi mentioned 90% on the first day, 70% on the second day, and 50% on the third and fourth days.

He explained that the popular rice is famous for it in the restaurant, and accordingly, there is a high demand for it, along with the ghouzi, during the days of Eid al-Fitr, in light of the lack of demand for the fish dish.

Al-Thawadi stressed the restaurant’s keenness that the meat they use in the kitchen be slaughtered in the Kingdom of Bahrain, justifying the fact that citizens do not trust other meats, as he put it.
