Amid an atmosphere of anxiety prevailing among the displaced Palestinians crowded into the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, and in light of international warnings of an invasion of the city, the Israeli army called on the Palestinians to evacuate the eastern parts of Rafah.
Israeli forces directed civilians to move to what they call an “expanded humanitarian area” in Al-Mawasi and Khan Yunis.

“Inform relief organizations”
Despite this, the Israeli army has not yet officially announced the start of the Rafah invasion.
However, he apparently informed international and Palestinian relief organizations of the details of the evacuation, according to Haaretz newspaper.
This call came a few hours after US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin stressed to his Israeli counterpart Yoav Gallant the need for “any potential military operation in Rafah to include a reliable plan to evacuate Palestinian civilians.”
It also came after many international organizations and Western countries, led by the United States, a close ally of Israel, expressed their concern for the safety of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians crowded into Rafah.
The United Nations has also repeatedly confirmed that there is no safe place in the entire Strip to shelter the displaced.
It is noteworthy that more than two million Palestinians were displaced to Rafah, as a result of the war that has been ongoing for seven months, where they live in miserable humanitarian conditions.
While ambiguity still surrounds the alleged “safe areas” that Israel confirmed that it is preparing to evacuate Rafah civilians.
