The National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research, affiliated with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Egypt, revealed the date of Eid al-Fitr for this year, explaining that according to astronomical calculations, the first day of the Eid will fall on April 10, 2024, which is the beginning of the first month of Shawwal 1445 AH, and that the month of Ramadan this year. It will be 30 days, and it will end on Tuesday, April 9th.
The institute explained that the number of days remaining until the first day of Eid al-Fitr 2024, according to astronomical calculations, means that starting tomorrow there will be 16 days remaining until the end of the Holy Month astronomically, especially since tomorrow, Monday, will correspond to the 15th of Ramadan 2024, pointing out that the final opinion on the date of the end of the month of Ramadan 2024. The Egyptian Fatwa House will have it, after reconnaissance of the sighting of the crescent of the Holy Month.
The statement indicated that the crescent of the month of Shawwal will be born immediately after the conjunction occurs at exactly 8:22 pm, according to the local time of the city of Cairo on Monday, corresponding to the 29th of Ramadan 1445 AH, corresponding to the 8th of next April, according to the Masrawy website, and Muslims around the world are awaiting the arrival of Eid. Blessed Eid al-Fitr, which is considered one of the most important religious holidays in Islam, and more than 3 billion Muslims are awaiting the official authorities’ announcement of the sighting of the crescent of Shawwal for the year 1445 AH and the celebration of the first day of Eid al-Fitr.
