An Arab media delegation visited the training of the national team for mixed martial arts at the Reda Center for Martial Arts, on the sidelines of their visit and presence in the Kingdom of Bahrain to cover the events and activities of the Gulf Air Formula One Bahrain Grand Prix, which is hosted by the Bahrain International Motor Circuit.
The delegation was received upon its arrival at the Reda Martial Arts Center by the President of the Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation, Mr. Muhammad Ali Qambar, accompanied by the Head of the Media Center of the Bahrain Martial Arts Council, Mr. Walid Abdullah Ahmed.
The President of the Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation welcomed the delegation of Arab media professionals, and conveyed to them the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice President of the General Sports Authority and Chairman of the Bahrain Martial Arts Council, and His Highness’s wishes to them for a pleasant stay in their second country, the Kingdom of Bahrain.
He also conveyed to them the greetings of the President of the Brave Organization and the CEO of the Khalid bin Hamad Sports Organization, Mr. Mohammed Shahid, and his wishes of success to them.
Qambar spoke to Arab media professionals about the history of Bahraini mixed martial arts, which was launched in accordance with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, through the formation of the KHK MMA team for amateurs and professionals in August 2015. , which was the real nucleus for the formation of national teams and the establishment of the Bahraini Mixed Martial Arts Federation in 2016.
He stressed that the vision of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa contributed to the launch of the BRAVE CF Professional Championship, which is considered a registered Bahraini brand in the world of professional mixed martial arts.
He also reviewed the achievements achieved by the Kingdom of Bahrain in this sport in a record time by obtaining the titles of the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) Asian, European, African and World Championships, as well as hosting three consecutive editions of the World Amateur Championship in the years 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Qambar said: “The sport of mixed martial arts is moving in accordance with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and with the close follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, towards achieving more achievements that enhance the successes that the Kingdom of Bahrain has achieved at the level of this sport.”
