The book “American Women”: The Transformation of the Modern First Lady, from Hillary Clinton to Jill Biden, written by Katie Rogers, a correspondent for the New York Times in the White House, claimed that Melania spent her four years in the White House engaged in a power struggle with Ivanka, where They competed for influence and media attention, according to the British newspaper The Times.

Melania did not immediately move to the White House when her husband took office, while Ivanka moved to assume the duties of First Lady, starting a “cold war” between the two women.
