Definitely, an hour or at least half an hour before you go to sleep, do not look at any display or at a screen that only repeats reruns of old series. On the contrary, engage in some non-digital activities: read a book, take a warm bath, listen to calm music, paint or embroider, cuddle with the children.

Let the light in

As soon as you hear the alarm clock, don’t wait for anything, get up, open the curtains or draw the blinds and let the daylight flood the bedroom. The sun’s rays stimulate an increase in the production of serotonin, regulate it circadian rhythm, and so daylight helps you get up more easily. But if the mornings take place in the middle of winter, at least turn on the light in the room. And if your windows don’t open directly onto a busy street, feel free to open them wide and breathe in the fresh morning air.

Enjoy the morning as you like

After waking up, do something that gives you pleasure. Sip on slowly dripped coffee, go for a run, do some sun salutations or a pleasant morning shower. For some, it can be cold. Proponents of a morning shower with a stream of cold water praise it for its miraculous effects. In short, if you have a pleasant ritual in the morning, you will feel better and get up with more pleasure.

Wake up in a pleasant environment

Do you open your eyes in the morning and the first thing you see is a mess of clothes thrown on the chair, an uneaten and withered apple on the bedside table and a broken juice glass? Do you go into the kitchen to make your morning coffee, but with the kitchen counter cluttered with dishes and leftovers from last night’s dinner, there’s nowhere to put a mug of hot morning coffee? Tidy up before you go to bed. And not only in your head, but also around you. Clean your room, wash the dishes, prepare your things for tomorrow. A person wakes up much better when he doesn’t have to catch up on what he did yesterday.
