Hairdresser Cannot Go to Work After Leech Therapy

Mehmet Uğuş, a hairdresser in Kayseri who has varicose veins on his legs due to standing too much due to his profession, had his life turned upside down after he had leeches applied. The wounds on Uğuş’s legs after the leeches are getting bigger and bleeding day by day. Uğuş has not been able to go to his shop or work for 2 months because of the infected wounds. Mehmet Uğuş said that he was deceived both financially and spiritually.

“They took our health away while trying to regain our health,” said Mehmet Uğuş, “We hairdressers get ‘varicose veins’, an occupational disease, because we stand up too much. Mine had also progressed a little. Then we met someone, he followed me for 7-8 months. He said, ‘I will cure you. If I can’t cure you, I will give you back the money you gave me.’ He came to our shop for 7-8 months like this, he called me on the phone. He said, ‘Come let me cure your legs. We have cured worse legs than yours.’ I had it done because I wanted to get better. First he came and applied 36 tubes of cupping. He said I would be fine this way. He came once a week and stuck 42 leeches in total for 1 month, 5 on one leg and 5 on the other leg. My legs got worse after these leeches were stuck. They bled a lot. Every part of my leg burst and there were wounds. I haven’t worked at all for 2 months. I have difficulty I am pressing. I called him and told him. However, he did not accept it at all. He said, ‘Your legs are something different, it seems.’ In other words, I am a victim. I could not deposit my Bağ-Kur because of the money I gave. Now, since I could not deposit Bağ-Kur, I cannot go to the hospital. I do not know what to do. I was kind of scammed. I have not been able to go to my shop for 2 months.
