Google will provide 120,000 scholarships to students in the digital field

The company will award these scholarships in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru during the period of this year

Ramiro Sanchez, director of Marketing of Google Latinoamérica, has announced this new initiative with the objective of training 120,000 students who have digital skills and artificial intelligence (AI), and they are interested in learning about new technology trends.

For the director, it is crucial to invest in the training and development of people’s digital skills to improve productivity and be ready for the constant technological advancement that occurs every year. In addition, he explained how technology has had a transformative impact since Google was presented to the world as a company. “AI First” in 2016, when it was not yet as widely used as it is now, opening doors to innovation and daily digital transformation.

The program “Grow with Google” launched the course “Google AI Fundamentals”, designed so that anyone, without needing prior knowledge, can learn about artificial intelligence in just ten hours, said the director “Inspired by this approach, we designed the ‘Google AI Fundamentals’ course… so that people can gain new knowledge in shorter courses”.

The course will consist of five modules with theoretical content, videos and interactive exercises, to learn how to use artificial intelligence tools to generate new ideas, concepts, strategies and tactics for a specific product or service. Thus, participants will be constantly trained to make more informed decisions and streamline daily work tasks.

The courses will be taught by artificial intelligence experts from various areas within the company. Once the course is completed, registered people will be able to obtain their certificate, of course those who completed it successfully should be highlighted. In addition to AI courses, Google offers other career certificates within the same program. Google plans to announce the scholarship allocation process for each country in the coming months.
