Seizing a number of stolen and wanted cars in Tripoli

The Tripoli Security Directorate reported the seizure of a number of stolen and wanted cars in Tripoli.

This comes within the framework of the tasks assigned to the Rescue Police Department and through the security stops spread in the capital.

Members of the patrols (Patrol No. 49, Squad – B) of the department at the security station on the airport road, according to the instructions issued, were able to search the wanted and stolen cars. The vehicle of the type (Mchi Canter – white color) was stopped, and after verifying the number plates affixed to the vehicle in the transportation system of the operating room. It turned out that it was wanted on 02/15/2024, so the vehicle and driver were handed over to the competent authorities and the chamber was informed of this.

On 02/21/2024, (Patrol No. 24, Division A) was assigned to the security station, the gypsum traffic light, and to inspect wanted and stolen cars. The vehicle (Toyota Camry – grey color) was stopped. After verifying the license plate number affixed to the vehicle in the transportation system of the operating room, it became clear That the plates belong to another vehicle, so the vehicle and the driver were handed over to the Traffic Investigation Department in terms of jurisdiction, and the Chamber was informed of that.

On 02/17/2024, after assigning (Patrol N119, Rover) to the security station on the airport road and inspecting the wanted and stolen cars, the members of the department were able to stop the vehicle (Toyota Camry – gray color) after verifying the license plate number installed on the vehicle in the transportation system of the operations room. It turned out that it was stolen, and it had a report from the Zawiyat Al-Dahmani Police Station on 03/19/2020, according to which the vehicle and the driver were handed over to the aforementioned police station in terms of jurisdiction, and the Chamber was informed of that.

In this context, the Tripoli Security Directorate reported that the Anti-Car Theft Department was able to recover several stolen cars and refer them to the police stations within which the thefts occurred.

By following up on the incidents of stolen and wanted cars, the department’s investigation members were able to recover a Samsung public utility vehicle reported stolen in the Abu Salim district. A Hyundai Sonata automatic vehicle reported stolen at the Ain Zara Center was also recovered. The department members also seized BMW automatic vehicle with incorrect procedures.

In the same context, the department was able to seize a Daewoo automatic vehicle required by the city police station.
The necessary legal measures have been taken regarding all seizures by referring them to the requesting centres.
