He noted that Armenia’s recent actions show that it cannot come to terms with the current situation:
“They neither accept the situation nor can digest the defeat. The goal is the lack of peace and stability in the South Caucasus. They are trying to do this in two ways, both diplomatically and militarily. They want to make Azerbaijan guilty. Allegedly, there is unrest and instability in the region. They are trying to make the field of operation and the political area multi-state, multi-country and multi-group. This task was given to Armenia by 7-8 countries with a sense of revanchism in the military field, most importantly France, USA and Iran. “Armenia also breaks the ceasefire whenever it has the opportunity to attract attention.”
The general drew attention to the fact that Armenia has not fulfilled the promises made in the tripartite agreement:
The purpose of yesterday’s ceasefire violation may be related to the beginning of the return to Khojaly and Khankendi. Because February 26 is coming. Azerbaijan must destroy every post under fire. It does. This is Azerbaijan’s right to self-defense in the sense of fighting terrorism, as required by the Charter of the United Nations, which derives from international law. These destructions caused by Armenia are not only against Azerbaijan, but are steps taken to disrupt peace, happiness, peace and stability in the entire Caucasus.”
It should be noted that yesterday, Armenia opened fire on the positions of the Azerbaijani Army in the direction of Zangilan, and one soldier was injured. On February 13, “revenge operation” was carried out by the units of the State Border Service in response to the provocation by the Armenian Armed Forces. As a result of the operation, the combat post of the Armenian Armed Forces near the Nerkin-And settlement of Gafan district, which opened fire on our side, was completely destroyed, and the combat positions were silenced.
