JAKARTA – There are six Police Chief who is currently on active duty at Sulawesi island. They lead the regional police of North Sulawesi, Gorontalo, Central Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi and South Sulawesi.
Kapolda is an abbreviation for Regional Police Chief who is tasked with leading the implementation of Polri’s duties at the provincial level and is directly responsible to the Chief of Police. Those who hold this position are two-star police generals or have the rank of Inspector General of Police (Irjen Pol).
Currently there are 6 Regional Police Chiefs on active duty on Sulawesi Island. Among them, there are those who only took office at the end of 2023 because the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit, was transferred. Who are they?

1. Inspector General of Police Yudhiawan Wibisono

One of the active regional police chiefs serving in Sulawesi is Inspector General Pol Yudhiawan Wibisono. This man, born on October 19 1967, has served as North Sulawesi Regional Police Chief since December 28 2023.
Yudhiawan was appointed as North Sulawesi Regional Police Chief replacing Inspector General Setyo Budiyanto who was transferred to Inspector General of the Ministry of Agriculture. Previously, this 1991 graduate of the Police Academy (Akpol) served as Sahlisospol Kapolri on December 7 2023. He was also Director of Coordination and Supervision II of the KPK in 2021.
2. Inspector General of Police Angesta Romano Yoyol

Next there is Inspector General of Police Angesta Romano Yoyol in the line of regional police chiefs who is active on duty on Sulawesi Island. The 1989 Police Academy graduate now serves as the Gorontalo Regional Police Chief.
In his history, this policeman, who was born on February 21 1966, served as Head of the RBP Srena Police Bureau in 2018. Furthermore, he was trusted to become the Principal Police Widyaiswara Level I Sespim Lemdiklat Polri in 2020 before finally becoming the Gorontalo Regional Police Chief.
3. Inspector General of Police Adang Ginanjar

Then Inspector General Pol Adang Ginanjar is also the Regional Police Chief who is active on duty on Sulawesi Island. Abituren Akpol 1989 served as West Sulawesi Regional Police Chief.
