53rd Inter-Hall Athletics Competition begins in DU – 2024-02-13 07:26:27

The two-day 53rd Inter-Hall Athletics Competition has started with the athletes who excelled in the annual sports competition of 19 halls of Dhaka University (DU).

The competition was inaugurated on Monday (February 12) at the central playground of the university. University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Maqsood Kamal was present as the chief guest and inaugurated this competition.

The Vice-Chancellor said that students should play an important role in enhancing the image and reputation of the University by keeping the tradition of Dhaka University in all fields including sports fields. In addition to performing well in the classroom and laboratory, students should participate in sports and co-curricular activities regularly to improve their skills and develop capable leadership.

He also said, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the greatest Bengali nation father of all time, gave us an independent and sovereign country. Students should develop as good citizens and play a role in the socio-economic development of the country in building the Sonar Bangla of Bangabandhu’s dream. We have to develop ourselves as smart and skilled human resources to turn non-communal and democratic Bangladesh into a developed, prosperous and smart Bangladesh.
