A couple’s four children died when a charged mobile phone exploded. The husband and wife were also injured. This tragic incident took place on Saturday (March 23) night in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh, India.
According to the local police, day laborer Johnny lives in Meerut’s Pallavapuram police station. His family was living happily with his wife and four children. Johnny was at home on Saturday as Holi was a holiday and his wife was cooking at the time of the incident. Their four children Sarika (10), Niharika (4), Sanskar (6) and Kalu (4) were playing inside the house.
It is known that Johnny was talking to his wife while charging the mobile phone. As a result, they did not notice the sparks on the switch board. Suddenly the mobile explodes and catches fire as it falls on the bed. And four children were burnt to death in that fire. Johnny and his wife were also injured.
Local residents managed to rescue Johnny and his wife alive, but not the children. Later, the fire service came and brought the fire under control and brought out the bodies of the four children.
It is initially known that the mobile exploded due to a short circuit. And that explosion caught fire in the house.
