On the other hand, 160 dengue patients are currently under treatment in various public and private hospitals of the country including Dhaka. However, no death was reported during this time. 27 people have died due to dengue this year.

According to the Directorate of Health, 13 residents of Dhaka City Corporation area and 22 outside Dhaka among the 35 people who were admitted to hospital due to dengue infection from Sunday (May 5) to Monday 8 am. Most of them are 12 in Mymensingh division.
From January 1 to May 6 this year, a total of 2,323 people were infected with dengue throughout the country. Among them, 781 people are residents of Dhaka City Corporation area.
From January 1 to May 6, 2,163 dengue patients were discharged from the hospital.
In 2023, all the records of the country’s 24-year dengue history were broken. From January to December, 3 lakh 21 thousand 179 patients were admitted to different hospitals of the country due to dengue, and 1 thousand 705 people died.
In 2022, 281 people died of dengue. 27 people died in the last month of that year, December. At the same time, 62 thousand 382 people were admitted to hospital due to dengue infection in the year under discussion.
During the corona epidemic in 2020, dengue infection was not seen much, but in 2021, 28 thousand 429 people were infected with dengue throughout the country. In the same year, 105 people died due to dengue throughout the country.
According to the information of the Department of Health, 281 people died of dengue in 2022, 105 people in 2021, seven people in 2020 and 179 people in 2019.
