Vienna (OTS) – The volunteer team of the “Vienna Film Archive of the Workers’ Movement, WIFAR” (20., Wallensteinstrasse 68-72, Staircase 1, entrance: courtyard side) will present a film by Dagmar Streicher (director and director) that is well worth seeing on Thursday, April 25th, from 3 p.m Screenplay) entitled “May Day and the Dream of World Revolution”. In this production from 2020, the origins and development of May 1st, “Labor Day” is the most important holiday of social democracy, are impressively described. Using images from the past, statements from contemporary witnesses, comments from historians, recitations and other contributions, Dagmar Streicher has created a 50-minute film. In another performance on Thursday, April 25th, from 6 p.m., the Czechoslovakian feature film “Ekstasy” from 1933 (director: Gustav Machaty, leading actress: Hedy Kiesler, later known as Hedy Lamarr) will be shown, which once caused a stir due to its revealing scenes cared. “WIFAR” is also asking for registrations for the 6 p.m. event.
