In a joint statement, the leaders said Hamas has held Israeli hostages in Gaza for more than 200 days. They should be released immediately. Our citizens are also there.
Emphasizing the statement, they also said that the release of the Israeli hostages will be discussed immediately. Not only that, the ceasefire in Gaza will be extended. It will help deliver much-needed humanitarian aid across Gaza. Moreover, it will end the violence.
They said, strongly applaud the ongoing reconciliation efforts. So that our hostages can return home quickly.
Israel estimates that 239 of the approximately 250 people abducted during the October 7 Hamas attack remain in Gaza. 34 of whom died, the Israeli military said.
According to the information provided by Israel, the news agency said that 1,170 Israelis were killed in the attack by Hamas.
At least 34,305 Palestinians have been killed in the Israeli occupation, according to the Ministry of Health in the Hamas-run region.
