111 applications for short-time work approved

On April 19, 2024, the Economic Committee received a total of 116 applications from companies for short-time work, which was 29 fewer than the previous month. The Ministry of Economic Affairs announced this on Monday.

After examining the submitted documents, the economic committee made a positive decision on 111 applications. Of these applications, 91 are due to economic reasons, 44 of which are from the construction sector (construction of residential and non-residential buildings and demolition and preparation of construction sites), eleven are structurally related, i.e. they are related to a plan to maintain employment, nine applications have been approved creates economic dependence. The number of affected workers is 8,426 full-time employees, compared to 9,093 in the previous month.

The actual hours reported for the month of January 2024 are 55,759, compared to 53,280 in the previous month (December 2023). The costs for the employment fund for the month of January 2024 amount to 1,081,111 euros.
