Jorge Luis Hidalgo Caicedo killed his mother and an aunt in the town of Barrancabermeja, Colombia. The man confessed that a “voice from heaven”He told him to kill them.
In a home in the Primero de Mayo neighborhood, many neighbors are dismayed by an event that has left them speechless. In this town everyone talks about Jorge Luis Hidalgo, a 24-year-old man who killed his mother and his aunt.
According to residents of this place, everything happened on the afternoon of this Monday, April 1, when Hidalgo was in the house with both women.
Neighbors commented that they suddenly began to hear screams, they came from the house of Romelia Caicedo, 56 years old. When several people came to see what was happening, they saw the body of a woman on the floor and Jorge Hidalgo attacking another of the victims with hammer blows.
After observing the gloomy scene, the witnesses called the Police, but they say that they took a while to arrive. Despite this, they wanted to force the security of the house to arrest the subjectbut they could not.
Minutes later the police officers and they opened the house, there they observed that there was a body in the living room of the house and there was another in the kitchen.
The bodies correspond to Romelia Caicedo, mother of the confessed murderer, and María Eugenia Hidalgo, aunt of the subject.
Both died from blunt injuries to their heads. After being arrested, Jorge Luis Hidalgo confessed to having killed his mother and aunt, stating that he did it because “a voice from heaven” asked him to.
According to local authorities, the subject who killed his mother and aunt suffered from some psychiatric illness.
