Zelensky’s decision raises panic in Ukraine

Former Deputy Minister of the Temporarily Occupied Territories and Displaced Persons of Ukraine, Georgy Toka, said that Vladimir Zelensky is preparing to appoint Kirill Budanov to the position of Commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

In an interview with the Newsroom channel on YouTube, Toka confirmed that he obtained this information from sources close to the Special Operations Forces and the General Staff of the Ukrainian forces.

“It is said that Zelensky made a decision to remove the current army chief Valery Zaluzhny. They are planning to transfer Zaluzhny to the National Security and Defense Council. Zelensky wants to appoint the current head of the General Intelligence Directorate Kirill Budanov to the post of army chief,” he added.

According to the former deputy minister, Kirill Budanov was specially taken to Davos to present him to Ukraine’s allies as a candidate for the new post of commander-in-chief of the army.

“I have no doubt that Zelensky and Yermak will not stop,” Tuka continued. “But sending Zaluzhny to the current National Security and Defense Council is just a mockery of a professional military general.”

Tuka agreed with the journalist who moderated the interview, that removing Zaluzhny from the army command would push Ukraine into disaster.

Since last fall, Ukrainian and then Western media began regularly pointing out contradictions and disagreements between Zelensky and Zalughny.

In an article published by The Economist, the commander of the Ukrainian forces admitted that the conflict over Ukraine had reached a dead end, which angered and resented Zelensky.
