Zelensky lashed out at the Allies for lack of weapons – 2024-04-14 04:36:28

Ukraine has been cornered by Russia’s continuous attacks. In particular, Russian attacks on the eastern city of Kharkiv have increased. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky himself went to observe the situation there. They said that they are feeling helpless without getting enough weapons and ammunition for self-defense.

Recently, in an interview with some international media, Zelensky expressed his anger about not getting enough military support from Western allies. He said that allied countries have some weapons, which Ukraine needs right now for its existence. He does not understand why those weapons are not being handed over to Ukraine.

In particular, the Ukrainian president complained about the lack of Akam defense systems and ammunition. In this context, he expressed the hope of getting long-range Taurus missiles from Germany. However, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has repeatedly ruled out that possibility.

In the interview, Zelensky said that the German chancellor is afraid to give their most powerful weapon to Ukraine, perhaps because of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s threat to use nuclear weapons.

Zelensky is also not giving up hope of approving a huge military aid package stalled in the US Congress. He is confident enough to defeat Russia on the battlefield if he gets modern weapons from Western allies.
