We are talking about the eighty-ninth year, when the chef decided to emigrate to Holland with his then-wife Naďa (60). But they waited for asylum there for a whole year. First in the camp, then they were moved to the barracks.
Money without work
So what did they do? “That’s the worst thing about it, that they give you money, but at the same time they strictly forbid you to try to earn extra money somewhere!” recalls Pohlreich for a difficult period in an interview for Thursday’s Blesk tv MAGAZÍN.

It was very mentally demanding. “I sat in front of the TV, when it was nice, I went for a walk. You know it was a bummer, especially when I knew that I would be fine on the job market,” says the dreaded chef bluntly.
Escape to the opposite legs
In the end, the couple was not granted asylum anyway, so they traveled all the way to Australia, where they could already work. “Australia is a country that relies on emigrants. They have a system elaborated down to the smallest detail. There it was already time and time again,” claims Zdeněk, saying that his son and the two exiled sons of his current wife Zdeněka (51) recently flew to the opposition. “Yeah, they’re all close to each other and trying to carve out a place for themselves in life,” adds Pohlreich.
Yes Boss! returns after 6 years
After years, the popular show will return to the screens of Prima Yes Boss!, in which Zdeněk Pohlreich visits poorly functioning restaurants and tries to save them. “After six long years, I decided to shoot a new series,” announced the dreaded chef, whose harsh remarks literally became popular. Restaurant owners can apply for the program now!
