Zaruba after the death of Vali from Maxim Turbulenc: Ropes to change the celebratory jingle at the repre

The Czech Republic was hit by the news of the sudden death of musician Daniel Vali (†53), who was one of the three members of the band Maxim Turbulenc. Among other things, it is connected with the national hockey team. It is their song that celebrates Czech goals. Shortly after Vali’s death, Czech sports commentator Robert Záruba (56) came up with the idea that it wouldn’t be out of place to change the joyful »jingle«.

Isn’t it time for a change? Such a question was asked by Robert Záruba on social networks in connection with the song that is played during the goal celebrations of the Czech hockey team. For a long time, the song Let the spirits live by the band Maxim Turbulenc has been associated with these moments. But the chief commentator of the Sports Editor opened this question at the most inopportune time.

While the famous commentator labored over what music should celebrate Czech hits at international events, fans of the legendary musical group mourned the death of its singer Daniel Vali.

“It is necessary to open the question whether the time has come to change the GOAL SONG of the National Team. “The pages have gone crazy” performed by Maxim Turbulenc has already been used up in my opinion – the home World Cup offers an ideal opportunity for a change. What song/passage would you like to hear after the Czech team’s goals at the World Cup?” he polled the X Network and contributed a few of his own tips.

Many people, however, were more interested in the fact that he came up with the whole idea when the group Maxim Turbulenc lost its member than the songs that Záruba would put into celebratory moments.

“I assume that the news has already reached you, so I am quite surprised that there was no apology, or at least no deletion of the tweet,” wondered one of the users of the social network who responded to Zárub’s post. But the journalist stood his ground and saw nothing wrong with the timing.

“I am baffled by the misunderstanding of the subject and the attempt to link it to an undoubtedly sad event,” countered Robert, to whom another commenter threw in a criticism, according to which it is necessary to focus on other things.

“I think that it would be much more important to resolve the question of whether Mrs. Vymětalíková is capable of commenting (even if only) on women’s hockey. Her performance is tragic, even after several uncommented matches, and the limit to where you raised her in ČT is dropping sharply,” the person in question despaired.
