Residents of Laleli and Mesir neighborhoods met with Yunusemre Mayor Semih Balaban and his team at a meeting regarding urban transformation.

Yunusemre Mayor Semih Balaban, Deputy Mayor Emine Özge Arslan, Mayoral Advisor Responsible for Zoning Yusuf Ataç, volunteer lawyer of many associations in various provinces Erbay Yucak, Laleli Neighborhood Headman Yadigar Şahin, Mesir Neighborhood Headman Semra Geçer and residents of the two neighborhoods attended the meeting held in Yunus Emre Millet Bazaar.

Speaking at the meeting, Mayor Balaban stated that they have always been on the side of the citizens regarding urban transformation and said, “We had recently held a meeting with our Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek regarding this issue and talked about how we could carry out this process together under the leadership of the metropolitan municipality. This is our duty. We will always embrace the people with a social democratic understanding and carry out this municipality together with the people. We will continue our struggle in the way the people want in order to solve these problems without alienating anyone. The labor of our people is sacred. They have acquired the houses they currently live in with great effort and labor. It is our duty to protect this labor. We have never acted and will never act for the interests of a certain segment.
