Angolan footballers, Zito Luvumbo, 17 years old, Osvaldo Pedro, also 17 years old, and Herenilson do Carmo, 23 years old, are nominated for the “CAF Awards 2019”, whose gala will be held on January 7, 2020, at Egypt.
The categories and respective nominees were published last weekend on the official website of the African Football Confederation (CAF), organizer of the gala that rewards the best African players of the year.
Zito Luvumbo and Osvaldo Pedro “Capita”, both 17 years old, compete in the category of best young player of the year (Youth player of the year 2019), with several other players who play in Europe, after having excellent campaigns in the CAN and in the Under-17 World Cup played this year.
Herinilson do Carmo, the oldest of the three, at 23 years old, who made a name for himself playing for Petro de Luanda, competes in the category of best player to play on the continent (CAF interclus player of the year), with players like Trésor Mputu and Youcef Balaili.
The “CAF Awards” reward the African players who stood out most for their clubs and national teams in a given season.
