Yeşilçam’s master actor Murat Soydan passed away.

Master actor Murat Soydan, whose real name is Rüçhan Tercan, passed away. His daughter also broke the news of the death of the master who took part in the project. Soydaş, who gave the sad news on his social media account, said, “We lost my dear father. Our condolences.” Murat Soydan’s funeral information has not been clarified yet.

WHO IS MURAT SOYDAN?

Turkish cinema and TV series actor Murat Soydan was born on October 2, 1940, in the Lüleburgaz district of Kırklareli, where he was a civil servant. The actor, whose real name is Rüçhan Tercan, studied primary and secondary school in Lüleburgaz and high school in Edirne. Soydan, who came to Istanbul for university, studied at the Academy of Economic Sciences and also graduated from the Turkish Music Department of the Istanbul Municipal Conservatory. He also worked as a civil servant at Tekel during his university education. After completing his military service as a reserve officer, he moved into cinema by winning the competition opened by Perde magazine in 1966, together with Tanju Korel.

HE STARTED HIS CINEMA LIFE WITH ARMLESS HERO

He started his cinema career in 1966 with the movie Kolsuz Kahraman, directed by Nejat Saydam. The cast of the film also included Cüneyt Arkın, Fatma Girik and Suzan Avcı. Murat Soydan, one of the Young actors of the 1970s, shared the leading role with Türkan Şoray and Hülya Koçyiğit in many films.

Murat Soydan, who starred in 221 films, was the president of the Cinema Actors Association for a while. In 1972, he won the Best Actor Award at the 9th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival for his role in the movie Zulum. Murat Soydan has a child from his first marriage. He made his second marriage with Ms. Uğur Gül. He has two children named Ali and Mehveş.
