The “World’s Best Specialized Hospitals” list published by the American-based news magazine Newsweek has been announced. Prof. Dr. Yeditepe University Hospitals Neurosurgery, headed by Uğur Türe, was included in the ‘Newsweek World’s Best Specialized Hospitals’ list. Drawing attention to the importance of the success achieved for Türkiye, Yeditepe University Hospitals Head of Brain and Nerve Surgery Department, Prof. Dr. Uğur Türe said, “This development has also paved the way for young people. Newsweek, one of the world’s prestigious magazines, makes this ranking with a detailed 10-page report in the field of science. In the ranking, many criteria are taken into consideration, such as the department’s level of scientific and technological development, the success of the surgeries it performs, the value it adds to the world, its influence in the scientific field in the world, and the innovations it pioneers. Points are given and results are determined based on these factors by a large jury.
