YEDAŞ Employees and EKOBİD Members Pedaled on Atakum Beach

110 people, consisting of YEDAŞ employees and Ecological Life Bicycle Association (EKOBİD) members, pedaled along the Atakum coast to draw attention to sustainable life.

Adopting sustainability principles since 2012, YEDAŞ drew attention to environmental awareness and sustainable living issues within the scope of the event organized with the slogan “Pedals Turn for a Sustainable World”. After the event, carbon footprint assessments were made depending on the energy consumed.

YEDAŞ’s aim to raise public awareness with this event stands out as part of the company’s sustainability strategy. While participating in the event, cyclists demonstrate their sensitivity to the environment, they also adopt a healthy lifestyle. YEDAŞ’s sustainability efforts, along with its Net Zero Carbon Strategy, aim not only to reduce environmental impacts but also to contribute to economic and social sustainability.

YEDAŞ, the first signatory of the UN Global Compact among electricity distribution companies, once again demonstrated the importance it attaches to the Global Compact with the event it organized. – SAMSUN
