Santiago Yanotti, Minister of Public Works and Servicessprovided an overview this morning of the current state and expectations of public works in Tucumán. In LA GACETA Central, the official highlighted the reactivation of several projects and their importance for the economy of the province. In addition, he acknowledged the delay in recovering all jobs, but emphasized that concrete measures are being taken to move forward in that direction.

“It will take us a while to recover all the jobs in Tucumán; regarding housing, we are reactivating Manantial Sur, which was the first priority requested by the governor. One of the companies is already working and today the agreement is being signed with another one,” explained the minister.

Yanotti also stressed the need for collaboration between the government, businesses and unions to overcome the economic challenges. “I appreciate the governor’s decision that no one should be saved alone… that businesses and unions have collaborated, have also put their backs so that when some money comes it reaches the worker, it reaches the warehouses,” he continued.

To conclude, Yanotti stressed the importance of responsibility and joint work to prevent the closure of companies in the province. “We have not and have not yet had any company go bankrupt in Tucumán. We hope that none go bankrupt and for that we need to work very responsibly.”
