Xóchitl Gálvez values ​​the role of the Army in security more than in public works

During a rally in ZihuatanejoGuerrero, the presidential candidate of the PAN, PRI and PRD, Xóchitl Gálvez, pointed out that the Armed Forces must remain in public security tasks, rather than in construction work, which is why the Army is essential to combat organized crime.

“The Army should focus on what it has to do. The Army is responsible for security. Today a good part of the territory is in the hands of organized crime,” indicated the flag bearer of the Strength and Heart Coalition for Mexico.

In this sense, he criticized the position of Claudia Sheinbaum, who pointed out to the National Banking Association that the Army will continue to carry out public works construction work.

“We want the Army to stop paving roads, building trains, and guarding customs. And yesterday Mrs. Sheinbaum said that she is not, that she wants to continue giving them works,” Gálvez Ruiz pointed out.

He highlighted the importance of the Army resuming its original functions, such as internal security and the fight against organized crimeinstead of performing roles that are not their role, such as paving roads or administering civilian posts.

Gálvez Ruiz made reference to the need for the Armed Forces to focus on the demands established in the Constitution to guarantee peace and security in the country. Likewise, he reiterated his commitment to strengthening existing social programs and expanding their scope to benefit more citizens, without eliminating any of them.

Gálvez Ruiz committed to working in the construction of a hospital in Zihuatanejoexpressing interest in addressing the specific needs of the local community.
