If for some reason, you continue working, your money will automatically go to a pension fund that they call the welfare (fund), that is the looting that Morena wants to do at this moment.”Gálvez said in a meeting with women in the central State of Mexico.

The representative of the opposition coalition Fuerza y ​​Corazón por México referred to the initiative presented by Morena’s coordinator in the Chamber of Deputies, Ignacio Mier, who proposes creating the Pension Fund for Wellbeing.

This fund, backed by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, would be financed with the savings of workers over 70 years of age who have contributed to the Retirement Fund Administrators (Afores), Mexico’s private pension system.

This, according to the initiative, It would allow the resources to be automatically transferred to the new fund when the worker who has contributed in the private sector turns 70 years old. and that, by their own decision or because they continue working, they do not start their pension process.

The objective, according to Mier, is guarantee pensions to at least 26 million Mexicans who began contributing in July 1998 and who until nowdue to the 1997 law, they will not receive a pension even if they work until they are 60 years old or above 64 years old.

In this regard, he promised that he will not “to allow people aged 70 and over to be deprived of the hard-earned money they earned.”

The opponent, who is second in the polls prior to the June 2 election, stressed that She will not disappear the social programs and will even strengthen them, especially the universal pension for older adults and the Youth Building the Future, which provides youth work.

“There is a program that we are going to put more into: for the elderly, in addition to the pension, (we are going to provide) medicines, medical care. And for the Youth Building the Future, in addition to the scholarship, we are going to give them job skills, a digital skill, we are going to give them English classes, we are going to teach them how to program.”he claimed.

He noted that this program will be called ‘Sisi, yes I study and yes I work’ and will seek to give them tools such as knowledge in robotics and artificial intelligence, especially in the most marginalized areas and where there is less access to education.
