World War II bomb found next to Tesla plant in Germany; will be detonated

MEXICO CITY (apro).- A 250-kilogram bomb from World War II was found in a forest near the Tesla plant in Germany, which is not unusual in the European country, since many of these are still found throughout the country.

Brandenburg broadcaster Rbb quoted local authorities as detailing the discovery.

Gigafactory 4 or Giga Berlin is located in the city of Grünheide, 35 kilometers southeast of the center of Berlin. Tesla’s Model 3 and Model Y cars are produced in that building.

The Tesla complex has been in the media eye for several weeks, as activists have protested against the expansion of the Gigafactory in Grünheide. Protesters have denounced the environmental impact of the project, which would result in the felling of more trees from the surrounding forest, in addition to the massive use of water, which is actually protected waters.

Between May 8 and 12, 23 activists were arrested and authorities imposed 76 criminal charges for violations of the right of assembly; disruption of road traffic; resisting arrest; disturbance of public order and damage to property, against the people who were protesting, according to the Brandenburg police.
