In the world, people’s trust in each other is decreasing. We observe divisions in various societies. We have to prioritize the needs. We need to understand the feelings of others. The way forward is through understanding each other.
Publika.az reports, these words were said by Gabriela Ramos, Deputy Director General of UNESCO for Social Sciences and Humanities, during her speech at the VI World Intercultural Dialogue Forum in Baku, entitled “Application of soft power in the development of multilateral cooperation: strengthening solidarity and resistance to fragmentation”.
He noted that world leaders should be more compassionate. “We must strive to create a generation of compassionate leaders around the world.”
It should be noted that ten panel discussions and four plenary sessions are planned to be held at the forum on May 1-3. Topics to be discussed at the forum will include education, youth, especially the relevance of cultural heritage protection against the background of climate change, xenophobia, illegal migration and other areas.
