The new play by the company Las Poetisas is a theatrical, poetic and transvestite comedy that promises to move and entertain the audience

It is an emotional reunion of Herminia and Francisca, the main characters of this emotional play, which introduces the viewer to the fiction of a sensitive wake after the death in strange circumstances of Sofía, one of her friends from the artistic world.

Given the total absence of Sofía’s relatives, the duo decides to generate a posthumous tribute, between poetry and performance, between reality and fiction, between laughter and tears, finding themselves in a transvestite typhoon of their existence.

Directed and written by Germana Stieches, performed alongside Felipe Gallegos, under the technique of Diego Miranda and Johnny Vadillo, this play is the second on Teatro Demoler’s annual billboard.

“It is an allegory of dissidence that seeks to destigmatize and move those who come to accompany these transvestite poets, around the whirlwind of emotions that is death,” said Claudia Moreno Pastenes, director of the theater.

“The reception has been fabulous. At these performances we have seen tears, smiles and chills. Likewise, the delicacy with which usually trivialized topics (transformism, queer art) are treated has deeply caught the attention of each person who, upon leaving, has always commented on the proposal’s contribution to the social fabric,” explained Stieches, director of the company that already has five years of experience.
