Woman steals coffin with body inside; this is how she was caught

It all happened on August 27 at the Affordable Cremation & Burial Service funeral home where the woman, identified as Patricia Sierra, 47, was surprised in the middle of the night carrying out the robbery inside the place.and now faces charges of robbery, grand theft and tampering with human remains.

Funeral home staff became aware of the events after A person called the Metropolitan Police at around 3am to report finding a body lying face down in front of the funeral home with the coffin abandoned a few meters away.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers found the body with its feet covered in plastic bags, lying face down on some rocks. According to the funeral home, the deceased arrived at the scene on August 20 and the wake was held on August 26, one day before the robbery.

After examining the images carefullypolice were able to identify the woman, who was caught on camera entering the business, breaking the front window and reaching in to unlock the door.

The video shows her entering the funeral home and dragging the casket through the front door, making multiple trips in and out of the funeral home before leaving.

Patricia Sierra was arrested two days later after being identified in a store near the funeral home, however, when questioned she said she did not remember anything due to the use of substancesHe apologized and said that his intentions were never bad, and that he even fainted after the robbery because he had drunk too much.

The woman was eventually released from jail on bail.
