The PM-DF (Military Police of the Federal District) arrested a woman for “terrorist threat” and contempt in the outdoor area of the STF (Federal Supreme Court) during the 1st anniversary ceremony of 8 January this Monday (8 January 2024).
The woman attacked the judicial police officers and threatened to contaminate the environment with anthrax, a lethal biological agent. According to the prime minister, the team was called by witnesses who witnessed the attack. There is no information on her identity.
The woman, in addition to being in contempt of military and judicial officers, was also in possession of pepper spray and a stun machine. She was taken to the fifth police station, but the case was forwarded to the PF (Federal Police), where she will be registered.
On Monday afternoon (January 8, 2024), the Court and the National Congress hosted the “Unshaken Democracy” ceremony, an event marking the anniversary of the invasion of the headquarters of the Three Powers. In his speech, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) said that there will be no forgiveness for those who attacked democracy, the country and the people. Other authorities also attended the event.
