The name of Mark Ruben It is iconic for Rosario Central. The striker is the “scoundrel”’s all-time top scorer, with 105 goals. And now, through a video, the club confirmed that he will have his fourth stage at the club.
“A lifetime together,” reads the text that accompanies the post made by the Rosario club on social networks. In the video, he is shown as a child, a “rogue” fan, watching goals by the forward wearing the Rosario Central shirt on television. The boy grows up, and continues to see goals from Ruben, in his different stages in the club.
At the closing, the same fan, older, is seen looking at his cell phone, and waving his hand, implying that he learned great news. Below, you see a plaque with three superimposed images of Marco Ruben, and the number “9” on his shirt; to end with a single image, and the legend “the story continues.”

The stages of Marco Ruben in Rosario Central
The 37-year-old striker, born in Capitán Bermúdez, a town near Rosario, debuted in the Primera del “canalla” at the age of 17, in 2004. After two and a half very good seasons, where he scored 23 goals in 89 games, he was sold to River, and then made the leap to Europe.
In 2015, he made his first return to Rosario Central, after a last stint with Tigres de México. Until 2020, he wore the “scoundrel” jersey in two stages (with a six-month loan at Athletico Paranaense in Brazil in between), where he played 124 games, and scored 55 goals. In August 2020, he announced a career hiatus, and in 2021 he returned to playing. He played two more seasons in Rosario, where he scored 24 goals in 49 games, and in mid-2022, he announced his retirement from football.
However, in November 2023, he decided to return to activity, signing a contract with Deportivo Maldonado. With the Uruguayan team, which he will leave in the next few days to join Rosario Central, he has three goals in 13 games. Now, he will have one more return to Gigante de Arroyito; probably the last of his career.
